Tracey Lee’s day-to-day life as a violence interrupter and supermom.

Tracy, a violence interrupter, works day and night to bring love and support to those affected by gun violence as well as prevent future incidents by means of de-escalation. Brown Planet Productions founder, Carlos Javier Ortiz, approached the project with a mixture of digital and analog photography, video, and audio to create an intimate portrait of the beautiful and intense reality at the heart of Chicago’s South Side.
